per KU board: KU more talented at OL, QB, and RB...
« on: October 02, 2012, 01:24:12 PM »
KSU with a slight edge at wide receiver.

This would explain why schematic advantage enjoys the current discrepancy in each category:

scoring offense:
KSU 40.5 (19th)
KU 21.0 (107th)

yards per play:
KSU 6.87 (14th)
KU 5.19 (bad)

points per play:
KSU .64 (very high)
KU .29 (very low)

3rd down conversion pct:
KSU 56.8 (6th)
KU 25 (117th)

passing efficiency:
KSU 165 (near the top)
KU 96 (near the bottom)

sacks allowed:
KSU 2
KU 9

yards per carry:
KSU 5.66 (9th)
KU 4.61 (53rd)

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

Hey the Manhatter is it possible KU has just played a much harder schedule than us so far?  Thanks for taking my question and I'll listen off the air.

I think they are just counting stars in recruiting.  A 5* QB backing up a 5* QB sounds impressive until you find out that they both washed out of their last jobs for being terrible.  Where do they think they stand on the coaching aspect?  I would assume they figure they are ahead on that because obviously Wies is a better coach since he won SB with Patriots.

Well you see the problem is that the crown on the field at KSU is higher than the one at KU so our running game gets more yards because we're always running downhill to the sidelines.  Put us both on the same field and let's see the numbers.

Good job, The Manhatter!

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Yes. Remarkable the amount of fail he was able to squeeze into 140 characters.
