Baylor should move up
absolutely not

Its like people completely ignore how awful a defensive performance that was.

I'm with you hemmy.  These two defenses will both be ranked below 90 in total defense going into next week.  Maybe 100+

Neither of these teams have much of a shot against the Cats.  Their chances for mistakes and turnovers is too high.  Also, no way they even sniff slowing down the EMAW running game.

dude he went 45/51 today for 656. 8 td, 0 int

Not many turnovers today

He might as well of been throwing against 11 life-sized cutouts of this thing  :bill:.

K well he rough ridin' never turns the ball over so, not sure why you said that in your original statement.
I seem to remember another QB that never turned the ball over throwing an interception at a critical time against the Snydercats last year.  :gocho:

The collapse won't be as funny unless it's been built up higher.

Trust me, there won't be a critical moment in our game at WVU. We'll win by 2-3 TD's.

Why Baylor? I don't think it really matters who wins. Neither is going to win the Big 12.
WVU certainly has a better shot than Baylor.

Yes, in the same way that I have a better shot than you at winning the powerball if I buy 2 tickets to your 1.

They did put up 31 on the 8th ranked Maryland defense.  Of course Maryland's other opponents were powerhouses Connecticut, Temple, and the William and Mary.

Yeah he was awful yesterday, the pundits should just ignore the best passing day in the history of the FBS.

The WVU hate by some on here is very weird.  You're not any less EMAW if you acknowledge that WVU has an absurdly good offense & Geno Smith is a stud.

JFC just let people hate whatever they want to hate. Since when do you have to have a logical explanation for why you hate something?  Like, I hate kangaroos and I don't have a damn clue why.  They are cute and jump high and stuff but I still hate them and get pissed off every time I see one.

MiR, I agree with you that the hate is unwarranted, but the love he is getting is too much.  He put up those numbers because his team's defense is terrible and he had to.  If Leach-era Tech had a defense this horrible this would have been a 2-3 time per year occurrence for many of those Tech QBs.  If the 2008 Tech defense was 1/2 as bad as WVU's, we would have hung in that game and Harrell/Crabtree would have done that to us easily.

So he had 6 incompletions on 51 attempts for 635 yards and 8 TDs because of his defense?  How does the WVU defense help the offenses efficiency?  I'm not quite sure why some of you keep talking about the defense.  To quote dlew, we know the defense is bad, jesus christ...  The hype and praise of Geno Smith and WVU's offense is well deserved.  The defense is a completely different conversation, stop lumping them together.

Usually good defenses get the offense back on the field sooner. In the case of WVU's defense, though, giving up a touchdown in less than 30 seconds is far more effective in getting that offense back on the field than any good defense could ever be.

Did anyone actually watch the game? Geno looked very very good. He made throws all over the field, both with good and bad coverage. He's the real deal. Don't expect him to get rattled against us.

Geno Smith looked terrifying yesterday. We will have to beat them the same way we beat Baylor last year, and we may not be able to. It's a good thing their D is terrible or we wouldn't have a prayer.
