Folks - we are NOT dropping the use of "K-State"! We are simply using Kansas State University more strategically than in the past. #KState

As long as I don't have to change my e-mail address to @kansasstateuniversity.edu, it's no biggie.

They probably will change it back to ksu.edu.
I hope not.  My hyphen would get lonely.

pretty sure it works to send anyone with a k-state.edu email using ksu.edu already.  Not sure on the reverse.

Mixed emotions on this.  The high cost of hoodie replacement makes me skeptical.

I would rather The Animal try to re-brand us as "The Kansas State University"

EDUCAUSE once allowed schools to use 2 .edu domain names (I think they only allow for 1 now, but KSU was grandfathered in).  So K-State is kind of at their limit with ksu.edu and k-state.edu;  they would probably have to do a cold cutover to a different domain name if they want a new one (which would be a nightmare for IT).

I got lots of chuckles Erik this thread but my favorite was when pet (i think) said "cant you imagine the whole crowd yelling hhoooooo?". So then I imagined it and made me laugh.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

I believe it was about 10 years ago when they decided to "re"brand to downplay KSU in favor of K-State, saying that there were too many schools like Kent State that had the KSU initials and we needed to better set ourselves apart by preferring K-State as the shortened version.

Nothing says strategy like Kansas State University. #schemeAnimal

Yeah it was KSU until about 5 years ago when we became K-State.  So good job good effort everyone.

Today was the first time that jerk we call "The Animal" even acknowledged the Lazy River.

We need new leadership in Anderson Hall.

I do love my ellipses, and readily admit that according to the various writing guides I use them incorrectly most of the time.

I would make a fantastic university president.

Dream job: Chef, scientist, fashion designer

What were you doing when scouted? Waiting for a friend

Describe your style: Eclectic. I throw in a little bit of everything and mix and match. Punk influences.
