As long as I don't have to change my e-mail address to @kansasstateuniversity.edu, it's no biggie.

They probably will change it back to ksu.edu.

I hope not.  My hyphen would get lonely.

Mixed emotions on this.  The high cost of hoodie replacement makes me skeptical.

EDUCAUSE once allowed schools to use 2 .edu domain names (I think they only allow for 1 now, but KSU was grandfathered in).  So K-State is kind of at their limit with ksu.edu and k-state.edu;  they would probably have to do a cold cutover to a different domain name if they want a new one (which would be a nightmare for IT).

I believe it was about 10 years ago when they decided to "re"brand to downplay KSU in favor of K-State, saying that there were too many schools like Kent State that had the KSU initials and we needed to better set ourselves apart by preferring K-State as the shortened version.
