Schaeffer traveled a long road to becoming a receiver at Ole Miss. He started his college career as a quarterback at Tennessee. He shared snaps with Erik Ainge, but a broken collarbone against South Carolina ended his season. Late that year, he was charged with misdemeanor assault after punching a student in an argument. He then transferred to College of the Sequoias, where he earned Co-Offensive Player of the Year honors as a quarterback. He played one year of quarterback at Mississippi before becoming a receiver last year. He's a Matt Jones-type, who is more of an athlete than anything else. Schaeffer is elusive with the ball in his hands, but he clearly is a project for any team that drafts him.

I was on the team when Marc Dunn was on his recruiting trip. Showed up at the indoor with his girlfriend during bowl prep for the Holiday Bowl. His girlfriend practically stopped practice she was so hot. Marc was very attractive himself and looked like the next John Elway. I think Ell was a little scared at the legends and appearance of Dunn.

That all stopped during the first 7 on 7 drill when Dunn threw rainbows instead of bullets. He could've been fantastic in a dink and dunk offense, but not KSU.

Hell, we should really be agreeing with Daris and Zacker.  If we had a QB in 2004/2005 that wasn't either dumb as eff or completely unskilled (despite having a "zest for life"), we never have Ron.....but, then I guess Bill never learns to use a blackberry and let coaches text, etc.....eff.  Scratch that.  QB dumb dumb and Sunshine were a blessing  :pray:
