if ND runs the table then we're screwed because it's ND.
We just have to cheer against FSU and Oregon every week, hope that KSU wins out, and that ND loses once, and we'll finish #2.
ND sucks and has absolutely no shot at running the table. FSU isn't very good, either, but we are going to need some luck if they are going to lose. It's more likely Alabama loses, imo.
Oregon isn't going undefeated. Their November is @USC, @Cal, Stanford, and @Oregon State, and if they get through that, they'll have the CCG against USC again (most likely). There's no way you beat USC twice. I would not be surprised if USC bounces back and gets to 12-1 and makes an outside run into this thing.
The SEC has one elite team in Alabama and four really good teams in Georgia, So. Carolina, Florida, and LSU. With Arkansas tanking, and Auburn being awful, the winner of Bama/LSU is going undefeated in the regular season. The three teams in the SEC east are going to devour each other, but they can easily spoil Bama's year. Alabama is very good, but they haven't been challenged yet. I don't care what anyone says; Michigan is dog****.
Our best hope is that Alabama or LSU goes 12-0 or 11-1, and they lose to a 10-2 SEC East team.
Notre Dame isn't going undefeated. There is absolutely no way they're winning at both Oklahoma and USC. None. In fact, they'll probably lose both of those games and to Stanford at home.
Florida State's last five games are @Miami, Duke, @VT, @Maryland, and Florida at home. They lose at least one of those games. Guaranteed.
If we win out, we're in. Especially if we beat Texas on 12/1. That game will equal the quality of any CCG out there outside of USC/Oregon and whatever the SEC throws out there.
