Commanders sound like a pee-wee football team coached by Snoop Dogg.
I was thinking more like a team name they use in low budget movies where they can kind of only vaguely resemble NFL teams.

Kind of like along the lines of Rebels, Sharks, Hurricanes, etc.

Problem solved!

Quote
McDaniel, who identifies as multiracial, joins the Pittsburgh Steelers' Mike Tomlin, Washington Commanders' Ron Rivera and the New York Jets' Robert Saleh as the league's only minority head coaches. The 49ers will receive two third-round draft selections as compensation under the Rooney Rule for developing a minority assistant who was hired for an NFL head coaching job.

Uh oh. This could get dicey.

Miami replacing its minority coach with a lighter skinned version is a hell of a look.

What exactly does this mean?

Didn’t really mean anything other than what I said. Going to get a lot of scrutiny when they’ve just ignited one of the most serious discussions about racial diversity in coaching by firing Flores.

Oh I thought you meant McDaniel and Flores were similar in some way

They’re both Rooney Rule candidates per the above story. And will also both have been Miami head coaches at some point. Might be other similarities but those are two pretty obvious ones.

hiring the whitest looking black man in the world while being sued for discriminating against their previous black coach is pretty funny.

I walked by EB's house yesterday and he had a dumpster in driveway and garage fully packed.  He and his family are either hoarders or prepping to move.  I'm hoping it is the latter and he is headed to NOLA.

Allegedly had an 8 hour interview in New Orleans yesterday.

Hopefully, he gets the job but also gets a legitimate chance to win given their cap mess.

Feels good to have another chiefs insider on the board.

Unfortunately the Saints just hired their DC as HC.

EB must be like historically awful in interviews. Either that or he is universally discounted as being the undeserving beneficiary of an offensive genius HC and super talented QB. Either way, really interesting he hasn’t been given an opportunity yet.

I would of liked for EB to have gotten a chance as a HC but the Texans and Saints have to be 2 of the worst jobs out there right now. The saints are in salary cap hell for the next couple of years since they went all in during Bree's last couple of years. The Texans have always been a mess and just fired a coach after 1 year when he probably actually exceeded expectations, not to mention the whole deshaun watson cloud hanging over.

I did see that EB's contract with the chiefs is up so he is technically a Free Agent and can sign anywhere. I assume he will resign with the chiefs but maybe he goes somewhere else to shed the "product of reid/mahomes" label?

Feel bad for EB.  He deserves a shot whether he interviews bad or not at this point.  Teams will by default search for the negatives with him in any interview given his track record.
