No problem.

The other thing is after Tramiel and Odufuwa they only have one other big that plays.  I expect them to be in serious foul trouble in the first half.  They will have a lot of trouble with Kelly and JamSam defensively.

Your podcast and breakdown are fairly accurate, especially considering you've admittedly only watched a game and a half of North Texas basketball.

The other big you mentioned, Jacob Holman will only see the floor if we're in serious foul trouble...he's talented and athletic, but also very much a true freshman and has seen his minutes cut or eliminated as the season progressed.  Cameron Spencer (6'8" 275lb) will see the bulk of the frontcourt reserve minutes...which, again baring foul issues, shouldn't be more than about 15 minutes.  Spencer won't score, but he eats space and rebounds efficiently for his time on the floor.

Either, if not both, Odufuwa or Tramiel will have a double-double.  Mark it.  I'm intrigued to see the interior battles if for no other reason than how good both teams are at getting to the line...and considering both our bigs have been very adept at staying out of foul trouble.

Josh White and Tristan Thompson are at times explosive scorers and at time questionable decision makers...I'm sure that sounds familiar.

Shannon Shorter can play the 2,3 or 4...is our best defender...and is a do the little things kinda player that every team needs.

Our bench has shown flashes of brilliance...but unless one starts to just go crazy scoring the ball, the only one who may see more than 15 minutes is Collin Mangrum, a decent shooter who rebounds and defends well.

All of that considered, I stand by the 100-0 prediction offered up earlier.

UNT scouting report (catsfan0304 approved):
A Look at North Texas

The Mean Green went 24-8 (13-5 in the Sun Belt Conference) with a win at Western Kentucky and a loss to Florida International. The Mean Green return 5 starters off of a team that went 20-12 (11-7) last season.

The Mean Green are lead by G's Josh White and Tristan Thompson and F's Eric Tramiel and George Odufuwa. White averaged 15 points/game (leads the team), 2 rebounds/game and 4 assists/game (leads the team). White won Sun Belt Freshman-of-the-Year honors and shoots 83% from the free throw line.

Thompson averaged 14 points/game, 3 rebounds/game and 2 assist/game. Thompson also shoots free throws well (81%) and also co leads the team in 3 point shooting % with White (40%).

Tramiel averaged 13 points/game, 6 rebounds/game and 1 assist/game. Tramiel shoots 56% from the field and Odufuwa and Tramiel are big time shot blockers.

Odufuwa averaged 12 points/game, 11 rebounds/game (leads the team) and 2 assists/game. Odufuwa had 21 blocks and was second on the team with 29 steals last season.

ya happy?

Isn't Asprilla from the Sun Belt?  He should lead the scouting report against these scrubs.  Will be a good way for him to practice his English.

Watched a little of their conf champ game.  They had to play out of their minds to beat whoever the f^ck it was they played.  One guy on their team posterized another dood then rolled his ankle.  Cool play, probably ESPN top 10.  They're like 6" shorter than us at every position.

Bring on Billy Donovan, his greasy hair and Eddie Munster widows peak, cuz da Catz are gonna roll

Freddy left FIU along time ago, way before Josh White got there.  Dude couldn't help scouting, plus, WE DONT NEED HELP.  Even if we play horrible...we still win by 15.

Well then scrap that idea

Josh and Freddy were both freshmen in 07-08...but looking at the box of the FIU/UNT game it seems Aspirilla didn't play.

This guy describes UNT hoops the way I build KSU up in my mind. "If everything goes exactly 100% perfect for us and just average for KU, then we've got an answer for every guy on their 23 man roster."

Ooh, nice outfit. What is that, Dacron?

The same Freddy Asprilla that was Sun-Belt Frosh of the Year in 2008-09?  No wonder he didn't play. He wasn't even an active player on FIU's roster.

You're right...I just pulled up the box score from the 08-09 game and he didn't play in that as well.
