Academics is a stupid word.Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not. So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.
So we ran the ball 2/3 of the time, and of those runs, over half were power lead. But, we used least 3 receivers two-thirds of the time, and only used 2 tight-ends twice. That's getting done on the offensive line. AMIRITE!
Man, it's really fun to have a good offensive line.
What is your opinion on the Play Action QB Power we used a few times last night? I liked them and thought it was unfortunate we couldn't get more out of them.
Maybe P/A QB power isn't the right name.I'm talking about having Klein in the shot gun with Wilson and Hubert in the Backfield. We fake a QB run and then throw. We tired it once early, but the OU defender made a great play keeping the ball away from Lockett.
seemed to me that OU really never loaded up the box and or we didn't allow them with our 3-5 wide sets. whether that was their ego or our scheme i'm not sure.
