Making plans ruins the fun of impromptu sick days.  Plans are for vacay days and weekends.

I can't fake call in sick.  Feel guilty all day.

I balance my guilt by absolutely showing up if I got hammered drunk the night before. That's my line.  WILL NOT CALL IN SICK BECAUSE OF HANGOVER.  But will absolutely call in sick to do something fun.  I never call in sick when I'm actually sick anyway (mostly just work from home those days).
