Your best option is divorce before Saturday.  Would also limit future emaw conflicts.

My sources indicate this marriage has approximately 1.8% chance of survival.

1. Divorce wife if cause of said potential attendance at wedding during OU weekend.

Yes, it was a tough decision, but after many years of wedlock, I had to let go of michigancats mom.

Good feedback in this thread.

Wife doesn't care for sports.  Refers to football uniforms as costumes.  Generally hates football because I'm so obsessed with it, but has warmed up to it after the birth of two sons (who will undoubtedly be brainwashed Cats fans).

Confirmed that there is a bar down the road from the reception.  Will formulate escape plan.  Most likely will only go if it appears we're in the game after half.  Otherwise, it's not worth telling people that I can't control my bowels.

Confirmed that there is going to be a contingent of EMAW there.  We may disappear together.

my friend is getting married day of the squak game.  pretty sure that will be 11am, so crisis averted.

this wedding isn't happening at a stone church in the middle of nowhere near St. Mary's is it?   :peek:

no, harrahs in KC.

i bet i have more fun.

As much fun as a wedding in a non-Vegas casino can be.

non-vegas casinos are still more fun than a church and the local bingo hall.

My cousin's wedding was same day as Miami game.  Have also had cousins' weddings on days of the 2011 Kent State game and 2009 Texas A&M game.

May your luck be as favorable as mine.

5 of us had plane tickets and hotel reserved for a weekend in Chicago. We had it planned for about 8 months. Friends told us they were getting married that weekend. We pitched in and got them the most expensive item on their registry and a card saying we couldn't make it because we had prior engagements. They got butt hurt and didn't talk to us for about a year. Then they got divorced and wanted to "catch up." Laughed at them and haven't seen them in person since. Take from that what you will.

Had a fraternity bro's wedding the day of the Miami game. Dlew ushered the crap outta that wedding and then watched the game from his phone in the upper deck of the ceremony. I could only steal away glances of the score.

Whole wedding party besides one poor Mizzou fan were EMAWs, which made taking pictures really distracting and inefficient. One of my favorite Cats moments was riding on a trolley of a wedding party that had cashed 42 beers, 24 smirnoff ice's, and a massive bottle of Makers Mark and finding out that the Cats had given up their goal line stand. We momentarily tried to okay ourselves with the loss due to the circumstances that the day meant a lot to the bride and groom. AND THEN MY PHONE REFRESHED TO SHOW A CATS WIN.

Proceeded to bernie into the reception hall.

I can relate a bit; I'm in a wedding the day of the Iowa State game. The groom is a sorta poster/lurker here. In all likely hood I will miss at least part of the game. I suppose if there is any acceptable date to do it on (besides a bye), it is a road game at Iowa State.

i'll see ya there. wanna be my wing man?

I think broXy is going to the same wedding.  you bros should get real pak'd and do things like switch the stupid bride and groom slide show into a slide show about the cats
