Police Investigate Suspicous Situation Call

On Sunday, Riley County Police Department were called to the 3100 block of Heritage Lane for a report of a large amount of blood found in a common area of an apartment building.

Very little is known at this current time, but RCPD is currently conducting a full investigation into the matter to include attempting to locate and identify the blood's cause and source.

There was a street closure as the interchange from Kimball to Seth Child was blocked off.

The Kansas Highway Patrol was also assisting the investigation as a helicopter was circling the vicinity

I was driving by around noon Sunday and swung through CiCo pool's parking lot and turned on the closest street I could.  Talked to a woman in her 20's and she said she lived there.  Apparently someone saw a HUGE amount of blood in the laundry room, up some stairs, and even out in the grass.  She had to pick up a drunk friend around 2:30am and got back about 3:30am and there was no blood then, according to her.  Saw a chopper flying around later in the day - I first thought it was a life-flight but Twitter said it was a search chopper.  I assume they are looking for a body at this point in time. Hope it turns out to be different, but it certainly doesn't look good.

Rumor is that there was  a pool of blood in a laundry room at the apts and that it looked like something was drug throught it.
