i really dont care what happens to this guy. i dont care if kstate fires him or not. i just think you guys are over reacting. no one outside of kansas gives a damn about kansas state university. just like no one in kansas gives a damn about Syracuse or Penn State.

Agreed. This is the do not embarrass KSU and alienate the majority of Americans from KSU thread.

Which begs the question; What type of comments, opinions, actions of political nature are acceptable for a person in even a mildly public position at an institution of higher learning to make? Or should staunch political statements be avoided by all people in such positions?

Given the choice between the two, I guess I would choose the latter. An example would be the Nebraska Asst. Coach who denounced gay marriage publicly.
