we've established ourselves as a top 5 program, tradition-wise so i'm wondering if it might hurt us to play a "mid-level" team such as miami.

Probably, they only have like 8000 undergrad.  Smaller than Baker University I think.

Lol.  Do you honestly think that you are a Top 5 tradition?  I must admit though some of the posts that I read on here was pretty funny.

I think people know that Prince scheduled them as an easy win 6 years ago, hopefully they wont hold it against us.

I know Snyder likes to schedule light in the OOC but this is getting out of hand.

Hm.  Maybe, if for no other reason than because of their terrible reputation criminal-wise.

Anytime you host an SEC team though, it's good for recruiting.

Probably a push?

I think LHCBS's reputation will trump any negative association we suffer as a result of this game.

No way ND is still that high.  This aint 20 years ago, back when ND and Miami were bigtime programs.  Miami hasnt been good since Too Live Crew was popular.  Also, when a rivalry is known as Catholics Vs Criminals and youre tbe criminals, you know that youre a trash program.

You must not remember the early 2000s then.  KSU is better this year, but never has been on our level when we were good.  Miami will be back in a few years, but we  are rebuilding.  If we don't get any push from the Dline, it could be a long game.

They haven't been the same since Levitt got fired for abusing players.  Really seemed like an up and comer before that

I hate having to play these no-name schools.  Remember that time when USC almost beat us.     Would have been the biggest upset alltime IMHO.  :dunno:

Actually, you won't be back.  Donna Shalala hates football. If you don't get into the SEC, Big XII, big 10, or PAC12 within the next 2-3 years you will never be relevant again.

Mmm, the new alignment stuff is interesting.  It pisses me off how Notre Dame has a say at these meetings and talks.

it's always going to be this way under LHC Bill Snyder though. as most of you know, a close friend of mine has worked for the athletic dept for over twenty years. he told me a few months ago that snyder was somewhat forced into playing the usc games ten years ago by nike and even though we won them both, snyder stated at an athletic dept meeting that he would never, ever play another non-conference game that he thought kstate had a chance to lose. this guy has never been wrong with his information. A+ source.
