We finally have a good coach and that is what the team has been lacking for about 10 years. 

Coker was alright.

He inherited one of the best teams ever.  His overall record was good, but when he started getting his own guys, that is when the problems started.

You guys have some good team's, but none of them has been close to our level when we were good.  You guys are better this year, I'll give you that.  Randy Shannon left our team with no depth and a poor culture.  We finally have a good coach and that is what the team has been lacking for about 10 years.

Guise, is anyone going to smuggle in some live chickens to this game?  wuld be great to let them loose just as Willie is out there beating the hell out of that flamingo mascot of theirs.

  its an ibis, but yes, it looks more like a duck. Don't let him fool you though, he was once almost arrested, in costume before an FSU game in the late 80's for trying to steal chief osceola's spear. Also around that time the guy who played him was shot in new Orleans before their bowl game (apparently those boys in NO like to fire weapons from rooftops come new year). The mascot (same guy) showed up at the game with a bandage on the side of the mascots head and said "it'll take more than a bullet to the head to keep me from this game." so if you see any old school pics of the ibis with a bandage, that's where it comes from. True story.

You beat us by 4 points.  I wouldn't call that destroyed.  It hurt a lot more loosing to VT and FSU.  We are rebuilding.  Most Cane fans that are realistic, think that you all are going to win.  I think it will be close again.  Our team is young.  I think 12 true freshman played significant minutes.  I think we will get better as the year goes, but we will take some lumps.
