Doerr had one game worse last year, and one game @ 38.7 (EKU and Kent St).

Doerr is great. But the new kid did very well for his first outing. 2/4 punts inside the 20, and 2/4 punts into the wind. Not sucky.

new guy isn't a fp/tc. There were too many times last year where Doerr wouldn't take a hit on a punt to draw a penalty. Look at the service our newb did for Sams.

This isn't all that important when judging a punter's performance. He put 2 punts inside the 20, which is very good for his first outing. I would rather have Doerr, though.

I don't know what you guys are talking about when you say the new guy sold out for Sams. Basically I was too hammered by that point, still haven't seen the game on TV yet. On that note, I hope Houcat had a restful weekend and will get all ambitious and crap tomorrow.

Dude got hit on a punt, after Sams' drive had stalled. The resulting first down allowed Sams to have another series and well, you know what happened next.
