If they end up putting the games on Kansas 22 & Metro Sports they still can and likely will still be on WatchEspn.com. The issue is for the thousands of K-Staters who live in Kansas that will best case scenario have to purchase a Full Court subscription to watch all of the home non-cons, worst case scenario will have to watch the games on the internet. These are acceptable options for EMAWs who live in Seattle, completely unacceptable for EMAWs living in Wichita, Olathe, or Manhattan.
Yeah, that's why this is so confounding. The entire point of the tier two network coverage is to provide broadcasts for the local region, where the vast majority of our fan base resides.
The K-Statehd thing is ok for what it is, but it's not supposed to take the place of tier two network coverage. There has to be something more to this story, because there is no way JC could possibly think this little in-house tv thing is going to replace a major cable broadcast. And I'd venture to say, that if surveyed, 90% of K-State fans don't have any idea what K-Statehd is, have never used it, and will not use it if it means watching a game on a computer, or involves the gymnastics of hooking a computer up to he TV. Hell, I won't waste my time with this much less my 65 year old parents. And until it's available as a channel on a cable provider, this isn't going to change.
All money aside, we are severly, severly crippling he exposure of the brand and the visibility of the school in the local region. This part blows me, if true.
We really need CaptainCrap to get in here and dress us up in clownsuits right now.
