Looks like Pat Knight left Gillespie with a bunch of fp's, tc's, etc's. It's not surprising, really.

Anyone seen Craig James' son partying with the Tech bball squad recently?
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

he already ran off all of knight's leftovers.  these are his own fps and tcs.

Texas Tech are morons for hiring him.  Even those of us who admire cbb from afar knew Gillespie was toxic.  I bet the stories from insiders that the media can't/won't publish are awesome.  This was a very predictable outcome, I'm just shocked it happened this quick, the guy can't control himself.

Tom Coverdale should have seriously beat his ass, just like that swim coach did to Petrino.

One source said that Gillispie, the night before most games, has everyone in attendance participate in layup lines at the start of practice -- including television and radio broadcasters, strength coaches and assistant coaches.

"If we fumbled the ball, slipped or shot it with the wrong hand, he'd make us run the steps of the arena," the source said. "He got a big kick out of it, but it was demeaning for us as grown men."

Kellis would run those stairs in a heart beat. I bet Wallace would run them as well, and then get on twitter and rant about it. He's pretty good at standing up for himself on twitter.

So let's start a ton of different threads about slightly different things about the same person.  I suppose I should just have called it TEXAS TECH GILLISPIE MASTER THREAD.

Interesting rumor from a UK fan

Quote
Gillispie didnt leave Lexington, he was ran out of town. He had multiple alcohol related arrests and was known to jump fully clothed into pools in the spirit of the moment. From day one he was partying late at night and dating the waitresses from wherever he was that night. At least most coaches dont date in the cheerleader/athlete pool and dont frequent the public houses for close friends and companions. The Billy G stories around Lex are many and dont reflect the coach in a very good light. Because of the poor outcome of the UK athletics directors hire the process of hiring a replacement was given to a committee and taken away from the UK AD Barnhart. Calipari never understood why he was not interviewed for the position when Billy G was hired after only 48 hours of background checks and interviews. With the results of Barnhart's tenure at UK it makes Vandy's no AD model look appealing.
