Snyder now making $2.2 million a year . .

per the latest newsletter, he got a $250K pay raise earlier this summer.

Also said assistant coach salary pool increased 20%.

yeah, if there's one thing John Currie is good at, it's making sure the coaches that have success at KSU are taken good care of.

Currie did it though because Snyder didn't "ask for it."  Frank was a greedy bastard in Currie's eyes.

You don't give pay raises to coaches who embellish on typcial boss/subordinate disagreements in order to gain empathy from a sychophantic set of simpletons . . . while the coach was already pushing the bar on the door to leave a place he never intended to say at to begin with.

decent O Coordinator who hasn't been mentioned for any big jobs and won't be in line for any major jobs in the next year.  we are going to have to pay out of our asses to meet what a lot of people feel will be a "decent coach"

ITK types (and this is a Luke) have said that Currie has said he's prepared to push the $3 million mark on the next coach.   I wouldn't put money on Currie even being around here to make that happen though.

We need to go into this with the mindset "Would an extra million get us a better coach?" At some point, the answer will be no and then we should just get the best guy out there, regardless of what it ends up costing us.
