Top 5 Romantic era composers

1. Beethoven
2. Chopin
3. Tchaikovsky
4. Brahms
5. Wagner

Pretty hard to argue with that list. I would add as alternates Smetana (middle) and Rachmaninoff (late) as some of my faves, but they aren't going to oust any of the 5 you have there.

i think any of the following could be added to the list, they're personal favorites of mine, anyway:
Johann Strauss I
Johann Strauss II (my favorite composer of all time)
Johannes Brahms
Antonin Dvorak
Claude Debussy
Fanny Mendelssohn
Yaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnn.   Nobody likes those guys sooooooo STFU!

SO DON'T LISTEN TO THEM! everyone is entitled to their own opinion man.
So don't dicuss lists that are not germane to the thread dick head.

do you even know what germane means? obviously the list was relevant to the thread considering it was being discussed previous to my post. also, congrats on calling a girl a dickhead, idiot.

_33 is configuring the lists for this thread fuckstick.

EDIT: "dickhead" is universal IMHO.  :dunno:

1. Chasing Amy is BY FAR the number 1 endeavor by Kevin Smith. Not even close. Great acting and the fact that all these actors that no one had heard of came in and did them perfectly is unheard of. Possibly the only time that Ben Affleck had a great performance. And Jason Lee is amazing as a supporting comedic character. So many emotional scenes, like the hockey game? I don't think I've ever been affected by a break-up in a movie like I was after that.

2. That Goosebumps list was horrible. Monster's Blood sucked. Night of the Living Dummy may be the only one on the list that was scary, and The Haunted Mask is probably the scariest of all time (there were spiders under his FREAKING SKIN!!!)

3. _33, did you watch High Fidelity today?

Yeah, he was pretty good.  I'd probably get rid of Chief Henry and stick Lyman right in front of Oil Driller Guy.

That Abe Lincoln bit was top notch.

When its pizza, you are either a meat or a vegetable.  There is no 3rd category.

Top 5 movies you had on VHS as a kid, but not ones bought from the store with the case and everything, ones that you taped off of TV and then wrote with a pen on it what the movie was:

1. Saturday Night Live 15th anniversary
2. Spies Like Us
3. Jewel of the Nile
4. There is no 4 or 5

1. Beverly Hills Cop II  I watched it everyday one summer when I would come in for lunch.  Loved me some Axel Foley, Taggart and Rosewood.  Plus great villain with Jurgen Prochnow as Maxwell Dent and additional antagonist in Chief Lutz.  Brigette Nielsen before she was super gross.  "Shakedown" by Bob Seger seemingly constantly playing.  So great.  Was a really good summer.

2. The Secret of my Success  I loved Micheal J. Fox in every role I saw him in as a child, but as a plucky Midwestern boy with big city dreams   .  I could relate.  Pretty much how I saw my life shaking out at the time.  Biggest crush on Helen Slater as Christy Wills too.  Dream girl at the time, and Margret Whitton as the aunt he bangs was very hot as well.  And holy crap, wikipedia says he was a KSU grad in the film.  I remembered he was from Kansas.  A latent goEMAW connection if ever there was one. :ksu:  I watched the ever-loving eff out of this film and still love it to this day.  Such a fun and uplifitng soundtrack to boot.  It's like you're right there sharing in Brantley's achievements.

3. Gremlins  I wanted a Mogwai so rough ridin' bad it nearly caused me physical pain.  I would have literally slit another kid's throat to have my own Gizmo, so great was my need.  Would have also settled for the live-action Snuggle bear.

4. Revenge of the Nerds  At the time, I thought this was the funniest thing I would ever see in my entire life.  I was also a bit of a smarty myself, so I appreciated the intellectuals' triumph.

5. Return of Godzilla  Couldn't get enough of this for some reason for a time.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.
