Are we going off the collective of all performances by said animal or are we saying "XXX was the best animal character ever who's species starts with a P and is less than 9 letters, so their species is #1"?

i assumed it was based on how badass each species was.

So all _33 has to do is find 1 movie/tv show that had a porpoise, no matter how small or crappy the role was, and propoise jumps to #2 on the list?

panther was #1 on my list.  i can't remember a panther in a starring role, but there was one in the jungle book.  a panther is basically the ninja of the animal world.

There is an animated panther featured at the beginning of The Pink Panther.

Top 5 Romantic era composers

1. Beethoven
2. Chopin
3. Tchaikovsky
4. Brahms
5. Wagner

Pretty hard to argue with that list. I would add as alternates Smetana (middle) and Rachmaninoff (late) as some of my faves, but they aren't going to oust any of the 5 you have there.

Beethoven is really more in the classical era.

my younger bro went to space camp with one of the cowboys from little giants

Was it Spike Hammersmith?  I bet it wasn't.

LOL, Bloodfart was probably one of those dummies who still stumbled over words whenever he had to read something out loud in the 4th grade.

i think any of the following could be added to the list, they're personal favorites of mine, anyway:
Johann Strauss I
Johann Strauss II (my favorite composer of all time)
Johannes Brahms
Antonin Dvorak
Claude Debussy
Fanny Mendelssohn
