Why would having Oregon in the Alamo Bowl before last weekend make him a respect?  Before last weekend that seemed very possible. He thought USC was going to win the Pac-12 and OU only had 1 loss. It wasn't respected to think the 4 atlarge bids would be ND, OU, Sec team, and Boise St.
