I think Rusty Wilson fancies himself as the Manhattan version of Brad Wesley.  I predict Big Foot is about to smash through the lobby of Farmers State Bank.

As a side note, just about anytime you see a independent chain of restaurants open several locations that aren't franchises in a short period of time, they are mumped or doing something illegal. There is a big one in the KC area that I've got my eyes on because they are doing this now... :dubious:

They've opened 1 new restaurant like every 7 years.  They are legit.

As a general rule for restaurants
-If you consistently have lines stretching outside at all times of the day/week and are consistently featured in various food/travel magazines/shows you are probably safe to expand from 1 location to 3 in 10 years.

We'll just go with Johnny's, then. Cannot believe they now have 9 locations.

Of course, Tanners or the Peanut would be another option. Not opening as fast as Johnny's has over the past couple of years, though.

kc hopps took a bath on their 47th street location.

Yeah. Works much better out in South JoCo, where middle-aged guys can go obliterate their senses with sports on TV at the 810 Zone or pretend to take their family out to a nice dinner at the new Moose at 135th or in Lenexa.  Always felt weird on the Plaza.

it also helps when they're not renting out a location the size of our indoor practice facility.  the new winery place going in their old location down there will fail quickly too.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Aren't the Peanuts around town being sold off to different ownership?

Most definitely not Johnny's...I worked for Johnny's for 5 years after college & am still good friends with all owners. Those guys have their crap together, the last 3 stores that've opened (P&L, 95th & Antioch & K-10/Ridgeview) put up GREAT #'s...in fact, I explored the option of buying one of their older locations a couple months ago to accomplish my dream of destroying all KU crap in there & replacing it with EMAW

Yeah, I know many of the Johnny's owners pretty well, they're doing just fine.

He also asserted that a one-year stalking order obtained against Gilman was imposed because Gilman had threatened to kill Rusty Wilson, who also had a financial stake in the business.

:surprised: although it seems this Rusty character is the type to have his life threatened often
