I don't see how anyone could be pissed off by hubert. I found his performance unexpectedly pleasing.

I think I like Hubert more than anyone here.  Most of that comes from his high school highlight tape though.

Hubert is way better than I want to give him credit for, just not a sexy player

wow to some of the replies concerning Hubert.

Here are my exact words....

Quote
he does not piss me off but the most overrated player by tucks would be Hubert

1) he does not piss anyone off...including me.
2) he is overrated by TUCKS, not anybody else.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

I'm honored OK Cat created a thread themed after one of my posts

Anyways, I don't think it will be Hubert or Wilson.  In order to qualify for "extremely overrated" this player will have to be overrated by non-KSU media (so ABC/ESPN/Fox announcers, preseason magazines, sportswriters etc).  None of those types really fawn over #33 or #37.  Hartman filled this role for me last year because A) he did piss me off every Saturday and 2) he was overrated by every single person who covered K-State.  Announcers fawned over him and preseason predictions for the Cats mention that it will be difficult to replace him.  Hell, he was overrated by a lot of our fans too, and not just the tucks.

I think Meshak Williams might qualify for this role.  He will be hyped up because he led us in sacks last season (easy stat for lazy announcers to look up and mention every time our defense takes the field) but our pass rush was still mediocre, so when Landry Jones is sitting in the pocket for days and picking apart our secondary it will be annoying to listen to how many sacks Meshak had in 2011.  I have a bad feeling that our entire d-line might piss us off so Williams would be guilty by association.

ok_cat_gpa:  "gmafb with wilson!  the three amigos, i mean oh my lord!"

guy that is seat in front of us loves it when we option (it never works) to Wilson, always says "Now that reminds me of Bill Butler and Mike Montgomery"....The last white RB at KSU that gained any yards in a game was Rod Schiller in 1993

I just saw Goolsby at the gym yesterday he and Simoneau are opening a gym in Wichita for aspiring college players in the area..... And Bryan is rough ridin' huge now, like 325 and built like a brick crap house, dude is massive...... Wish we could have him back at full back.

Pease was frustrating to watch last year...partially because him running the ball out of Wildcat was about the most predictable Wildcat play in the (long and glorious) history of the Wildcat formation...equally predictable was him dancing behind the line too long on every carry out of said formation and never hitting the line with a head of steam.

he DID do well.

In stillwater last year, we were at some bar before the game getting pak'd and i run into some k-staters and we exchange pleasantries.  Anyways, they introduce themselves as Mr and Mrs Dold and I'm all..."as in Logan Dold????" and they're a bit taken aback and respond in the affirmative. I go on to talk about how great that A&M game was (which I was at) and how great he played and (here's where I started lying) how I thought he was going to make a great safety and so on and so forth.

I think it meant a lot to them.

Hello Mrs. Dold,

I just want to set the record straight. Dlew12 is kind of an idiot and does not represent this entire bbs site. I will say, without lying, that I think Logan will make a magnificent safety. He was also awesome at A&M, which Dlew did get correct.

Best regards,

dobber

PS, If you have any more sons, could you make them bigger and faster than Logan and send them to K-State?

Fwiw I don't think Dold and Lamark were altogether terrible at RB considering the situation...missing on Bubba and not having Patton IIRC. Both seemed to be able to churn forward.
