IKEA takes about an hour and a half to get in and out.  Then you spend another 2 hours assembling whatever cheap crap you bought.   Before long, you're out of a day.

There are like 2 or 3 large hotel developments on the strip in Vegas right now that are sitting unfinished because of the financial crisis.  Mostly on the north end IIRC.
