I am never buying their stuff again. A $20 little kids table seems like a good deal until you have to put, like, $100 worth of work into putting it together.

If you put $200 worth of work into it by using wood glue, it lasts forever.  Or just buy a different table.  Whatever works.

Maybe a rando from craigslist I guess. If you pay for delivery they have ind contractors like lowes does carpet that will put it together for a min of 80 I believe.

For those who know how much patience I have, what are the prospects of me assembling this thing correctly vs. throwing the un-assembled pieces off the balcony?  I haven't bought it yet, because I'm skeptical of the lack of words in the instructions.  I'd pay to have them put it together, but it looks like that can't be purchased online; you have to go out there and make those arrangements and I'm never going there again.

That looks like the easiest ikea assembly that I've ever seen.  I would just do it myself

I saw that exact couch on that ridiculous tiny house show last night on HGTV. Did not show the assembly part tho but did look good all done.

I have that exact couch.  I did it myself only having mrs_k_m hold it up from falling over at a couple points.  I also disassembled it and reassembled it when I moved to texas.

Sounds doable.  I'll let you know when to send her up.

Good plan.  If I have any issues, I'll refrain from freakin', and will call beacon.

I was able to read the pictures well enough to know to start on page 17.

Also k_m, about how big is the thing when it's delivered, presumably in a few boxes?  Like, will I be able to put them to a side of my place and get to assembling when I have time, or is it so much that I have to get on it instantly in order to be able to walk through my spot?

It came in like 3 boxes, one of which was like 8ft long.  I would probably get it put together right away.  It doesn't really take very long.

Damn, I'd have to.  I clicked through buying it and it looks like they give enough notice that it'd be coming to arrange for an assemblyPAK.

why wouldn't you just buy something from somewhere else, already assembled?

I want that thing, or something similar, because it's relatively small and is a one-off thing that will go fine as the only piece of furniture I'd have for the "living room" and has storage space and can fold out to a bed.  It would replace a 13-year-old futon.

I'm sure you mean partially assembled, as a fully assembled thing like that couldn't be moved easily into my place.  The inspiration was a neighbor trying to sell his used one, but it still would've needed to be at least partially disassembled, and his had stains which led me to find that a new one wasn't all that much more than what he wanted.

I found a more couch-y thing at a local furniture store that has that same shape, but no storage and no bed transformer action.  It would've been $880 moved in and assembled.  Plus tip.

Having to drive to furniture stores to find something as good as that ikea thing would be just as frustrating as assembling the ikea thing while having never left my place.
