Crying
« on: July 18, 2012, 07:09:23 PM »
What a weird thing. When something is sad your eyes start making a ton of water and it overflows out of your eyes and down your face.  What in the world?

And laughing. When something is funny your mouth starts making weird loud noises involuntarily.  The human body is truly a mystery.

I read the other day on cracked.com that crying releases negative hormones, toxins, etc. That's why you always feel better afterward.

LOL @ people always saying "toxins," like that actually means anything.

But yes, weird thing. Good thread.

Good one, yawns are super weird.

BTW my fake yawn is more convincing than most of the real yawns you will see.

Feeling sad is way underrated.  I recently had a birthday and I knew my wife had something planned and I kept asking if friend A was going to be there or friend B or C, and she kept says "oh he has a wedding" or "he's going to Chicago" or "will be out of town for work."  I ran down like my top 8 friends and none of them could come.  I was super bummed and thinking that the people that are just like pseudo-friends that will come will think that they are my only friends and I must be some sort of loser or something.  She saw me get all sad and then she told me she was kidding and that my friends will be there and she just wanted it to be a surprise.  I don't know what she was thinking, like it's pretty mean to tell someone that basically none of your friends care enough to come to your birthday party.  But anyway the feeling afterwards was much better.  So I guess being sad is only fun if you can be really happy soon afterwards.  Like when Dlew is walking down Anderson in the rain a car will pull up and say "need a ride Buster?" and he will look up and see it's the one that got away and then he'll be so happy.  So good for you Dlew!

Probably social.  Pretty much all those outwardly noticeable behaviors are social in nature.

Did Dlew have poison last time he was heart broken and walking in the rain?

I doubt it.

Well, I'm pretty sure I didn't have poison in my eyes while watching Marley and Me the other day. So explain that.
