mocat, that font was pretty bad, check out the new one. If I wanted to make a huge watermark like a lot of photographers I could use a really cool script font, but it's hard to find one that looks legible when it's this small.

Thanks, I really like to shoot at night or dusk.  I have a new camera coming next week (Nikon D7000) that has an interesting feature for using long exposures so I'll be looking to test that out soon.

Mirror lock-up is way more important for intermediate exposures (1/10, 1/20, stuff like that) than long exposures.

And more important than that is a first rate support system.

Mirror lock-up

Mirror lock-up is way more important for intermediate exposures (1/10, 1/20, stuff like that) than long exposures.

And more important than that is a first rate support system.

Jardine was the only shoot that I used anything over a second, most my night shots are actually in the range you mentioned.  I know the BTF the other night was at 1/15 which isn't exactly long, but long enough to need a tripod.  I use a wireless shutter trigger because even with a decent tripod I'd always have a little shake pressing the shutter button.

Switch to HD and go full screen if you want to see it better.  I couldn't get Vimeo or Youtube to embed and automatically play in HD unless I paid for premium on Vimeo.

Sorry about the horrible sound.  There was a ton of people in there and the speakers weren't up loud enough, I should have done this before everybody got there.

Rumblings of renovations to the Student Union. Currently two possibilities being tossed around, a $5 million renovation and a $15 million expansion/renovation. Additionally there's been conversation about renovating McCain Auditorium.

both of those are desperately needed. if they could church up the union and mccain, that end of campus would be near perfect.

calvin always seemed ok to me but I never went inside it.  pretty sure they're building a new business building anyway so could prob tear calvin down.

THE POINT IS THAT THAT END OF CAMPUS WOULD NOT BE NEAR PERFECT UNTIL CALVIN IS UPDATED TOO.
