Remember when everyone answered all these questions like, literally one page ago?
Well, nobody answered the question of why Jessie is convinced Walt poisoned Brock with ricin, considering Walt didn't, in fact, poison Brock with ricin. All Jessie knows is that Huell is a good pickpocket and, in a moment of clarity, concludes that Huell lifted the ricin-pack. He also concludes that Huell did that at Walt's behest. So, basically, he's got evidence that Walt pick-pocketed the ricin. What's unclear to me is why Jessie then makes the conclusion that Walt was, therefore, behind Brock's poisoning. I mean, obviously, if Brock had been poisoned by ricin, it would stand to reason that whoever took the ricin was responsible. But, considering Brock was poisoned by Lilly of the Valley, it seems far fetched that Jessis would draw a connection between the stolen ricin and Brock's poisoning.
from the vulture.com article....
At Comic-Con earlier this summer, BB creator Vince Gilligan explained it thusly: " I think probably what [Walt] did was crush some of the [Lilly of the Valley berries] up and put it in a juice box or something, and being a teacher, he probably knew his way around a school and he probably got into Brock's nursery school. That's our inter-story for how it would have happened. It would have been tricky."
That is not that satisfying! This is a show that pulled off a train heist, for crying out loud. There's got to be a better way to make a kid eat a berry. This also still provides Walt with way too much deniability when Jesse confronts him: Yes, I took the ricin back from you, but I didn't do anything to Brock, and you certainly can't prove that I did.see the bold font. there's nothing connecting the ricin to Brock's poisoning in Jessie's mind. Walt could just say I stole it so I could kill Hank, or something.
