Great job by Cole Manbeck.  Some great pictures of Shwan, Weesam and the family.  Well done.  Cole said he will have a write up tomorrow about fattyfest.

Shwan was courageous in so many ways. For example, the Alkhatibs traveled to K-State's 2004 Fiesta Bowl game against Ohio State, and while eating dinner in a restaurant leading up to the game, Shwan spotted a separate room where several parents of the Buckeyes' football players were eating. He presumed to march in and sing the fight song of Ohio State's biggest rival — Michigan — and he nailed it word for word.

Incredible.

New phog.net fatty thread about the article.

Makes you appreciate Beems, you know?

Edit: Events have come to light that make me retract my previous statement. Or maybe all things considered, the rest of thephog.net is just that terrible.

My only guess is fatty was getting too close to finding a cure for death and God reeled him back in.
