Sounds like the Mary Jane did it's gateway job and got the team hooked on Coke too.

Would explain the constant let downs the KU kids provide once getting to the NBA. Can you imagine having to deal with the pressures of a new NBA life and trying to get clean at the same time? Recipe for failure.

Would also explain the early round upsets. They get tested in postseason. Playing UNI while coming down off of cocaine would be a chore.

Bill obviously understands that KU fans would rather win games by 50 over fort hays state than win in the post season. Give the kids what they need during the season, feed the monster, then pray that the crash isn't too much to overcome in the post season. I bet he lets some of his shittier players stay clean so that they are able to claim discipline problems when one of the starters can't get it together enough. His recipe obvs nees more fine tuning.

Yeah, everything I've heard from a KU board is usually 100% spot on, I'm afraid we're eff'd if this comes out.

I'm not someone who does/uses/takes a lot of drugs. Is 5 kilograms of cocaine a large dose for the KU basketball team to be ingesting? It seems pretty small in comparison to the metric ton of marihuana.

there are 12 members of the team not counting walkons so that is probably split about 15 ways. you have to consider that too.

Jesus. KSU is over here testing every week and KU tests ONCE when you first arrive on campus.
Pretty easy. "Here's you scholarship please quit smoking and snorting for a couple weeks until you're on campus, then talk to Coach Self about where to start getting your dope once youve passed our drug test, that you'll pass regardless."
I hope they get the axe.

Ging, I have heard that the more you use, the more it takes. Also, I have heard that once you use illegal drugs, you're constantly chasing that first high but unfortunately can't get it. So they add a little more each time to try to get as good a high as the first time.

It's a miracle that no one has OD'ed under Bill's watch. I bet they rely pretty hard on their Med school to keep those kind of problems under control.

Explains a lot about the persistant rumors that former/current players really pump up the lack of drug testing to recruits.

Essentially they have 4 maybe 5 times during their entire career at ku, if they stay all 4/5 years that they have to worry about drug testing.

Meanwhile Currie rolls out the pee cups at the drop of a hat.
