It's posts like these when I wonder, Dlew12: Great poster, or greatest poster?
i was at 'station tonight with some friends and saw you walk out the back door but i thought you were just bouncing in the back so i gave you a minute and ordered a drink and then went to the back to chat you up but you weren't there so i thought maybe you were in the bathroom but i waited and you still weren't there so i asked the bartender if "jake" (not really, but you know) was working tonight and he said you left already.

Shut up with this "typical k-state luck" bullshit.  Injuries happen.  We're not especially unlucky.

Hey dlew, eff off.

yeah, shut up dlew
we have, by every account, one of the luckiest seasons in cfb history then we have one off-season injury and everyone's all "TYPICAL K-STATE."

well I'm tired of everyone saying how lucky this season was, like it was all luck that won all the games.
luck is as responsible for us winning those games as it is for nigel's knee getting screwed up
Hey asswipes, Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.

I tore my meniscus towards the end of July right before the start of my senior season back in high school.  I had a pretty severe tear (when I went under the knife a few days later the surgeon had to remove the entire portion I tore which is now replaced by scar tissue, typically they try to fix it up and push it back into place).  I was able to start rehabbing it about three weeks after the surgery and after three weeks of rehab I was ready to play, so six weeks total.  Missed the first three games, but I tore it about a month later than Malone plus my high school doesn't have as elite rehab and athletic trainers as Kansas State.

Malone should be good against Miami and maybe even Missouri State depending on how cautious the coaches feel and how quickly he recovers.  However...my speed/acceleration was never the same after that injury.  It wasn't a big deal for me because I weighed 265-270 and played OL/DL, but I did lose a few tenths of a second off my 40.  Hopefully Malone's tear wasn't as serious as mine.
One time I tore my miniscus in half. I super-glued it back together and went back in to throw the game winning TD.

At least it wasn't Klein that got hurt

we have a much better backup at qb than we do at cb.

arguably better.

This is not bad luck. Injuries happen. If we lose games because of this, it will be because Bill did not recruit a suitable backup CB, not because we just "got unlucky" that Nigel was injured.

this is just going to give nigel time to save up a bunch of interceptions that he would otherwise be having in practice, etc and so when he gets on the field he will be making pics all day long and all night, my guess he will be like a pic machine for the rest of his career at ksu.  9 in his first game? lol who knows.  oh well, we will all be there to see it in action, can't wait.  i might make a special lunch that day to have before the game, thoughts?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Sucks that Nigel is out for awhile. I think he's a little overrated, but still sucks for us.

I just woke up from a dream about 15 minutes ago and it was that Nigel wasn't hurt and Fitz was acting all high and mighty about sitting on the story.  It kind of sucked, but the reality of Nigel's injury sucks even more.

I would take Fitz acting all high and mighty in a heartbeat if it meant Nigel was 100%

They'll be growing miniscuses (menisci?) in test tubes by then.
Yeah, SciFri had a piece last week (I think) about the technology of 3D printers and apparently you can just print out new miniscus, acl, mcl, etc. and slap it in.
