I would be absolutely shocked if the senate does not pass this bill.

I do not think many of you understand what they are saying with this law just passed. In many case the 'rules' are now being 'bent' to accommodate other 'groups' in an effort to not 'offend' anyone or be labeled racist or whatever.

And it has gotten out of control in this country! This is OUR COUNTRY, USA, AMERICA. This is NOT the middle east. This is NOT Mexico. This is NOT China. This IS the United States of America! And in THIS country sharia law and customs should NOT be taken into consideration when rules and laws are applied.

For example, women do not wear burkas in the middle east because of religious beliefs. They wear them because it is SHARIA LAW! Yet right here in the U.S.A. when I walk into a court room, for example, I am expected to remove my hat or cover yet they are not! Why? They use the claim of sharia law to state they are immune to the same rules, laws and regulations that require me to show respect to our country, our laws, our courts and our constitution.. Immediately some of you start screaming out about bigotry or freedom of religion or some other BULL... when in reality you do not know what you are talking about because as I said, wearing a burka is NOT from the religion rather it is from sharia law.

Before you start condemning your own country and spouting off, why don't you witness, experience and get up off your rear and see for yourself what is going on right under your noses! Many of you who have written posts here make me sick. If you do not like your country and OUR way of life, then move elsewhere.

I have NO problem at all with middle eastern people nor with the religion of Islam. I DO have a major issue with sharia laws AND with attempt to FORCE change to OUR laws, OUR way of life and OUR rules in the name of sharia law... And THAT is what these laws are talking about. READ before you speak. Get up off your ass and find out before opening said mouth and inserting said foot.

For me personally, I am tired of walking down the isle of a hardware store trying to find an item only to come across what I am looking for and have ALL of the packages turned outward toward me written in SPANISH and not English. Turn it around and you can find English but every package as it sits on the shelf has the Spanish language turned outward. Or how about being able to become a U.S. citizen without even learning OUR language?

This is AMERICA. If you want to live here, I am all for it. But do so by OUR CULTURE, OUR LAWS, OUR LANGUAGE, OUR CONSTITUTION, and LEGALLY --- not the country you happen to have come from. If that is what you want, then STAY THERE.

Yeah, I think those people paint a pretty good picture of your typical Kansan's political views.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when our generation takes over politics. Do you become less accepting as you get older, or is it a generational difference?

Probably a little bit of both, but what we'll have when all the tmcats of the world finally die out will still be rough ridin' paradise compared to the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) crap we have to deal with now.

Good grief. The only reason people fret about Sharia Law is because of the post 9/11 scare and intimidation done by the Bush admin. Some people really ate that crap up...

Nah. Those people are like 65-70. It's the really really old fuckers, the ones who vote en masse, who are the worst.

Yes they were. This Kansas legislative session has had a ton of stuff on the plate. Muslims, gays, and gerrymandering like it's nobody's business.

This is an odd thread, considering the legislature ended its session a few weeks ago.
