The refs were awful, but they effected the outcome of the 1/30 game more than they did tonight's.  We did not make plays or score the ball.

ku is like 1993 greg maddux and ksu is a second year .282 14 72 type hitter. they're going to get the calls. there's not a whole lot that can be done about it. raise the average, hit for more power, or just hope that they get old and start to suck or blow out an arm out or something.

jfc, rd.  there's nothing slth about admitting that the refs stole kstate's big 12 championship.

disagree. actually enjoyed the few games where kstate jobbed opponents at ood. hoping for more of those games to come over the next few years. to the victors go the spoils. jmo.

so what, you're a fan of the system now?  instead of a kstate fan?  just a rough ridin' heads up, rd.  refs biased for kstate = good, biased against = bad.

not a fan per se... but i just don't see the complaining about it. it was or should have been a known variable going in with the crew/situation involved. game got called like everyone should have expected. complaining about it is just boring to me i guess. i don't know. there seems to be a pecking order and it favors us in some games and not so much in others. should help out come tourney time. hopefully.

KU brings a extra level of physicality to the game. And that is to their credit. However, if your team decides to say, "ok f it. Let's rumble." the refs just flat out put a stop to it. They won't let you match them physically. I think it tears the cats up mentally because our guys want to dig in and give them a piece of their own medicine. So when they're not allowed to it becomes extremely frustrating/flustering. Understandably so IMO.
kinda how i felt

Cire and Sys - thanks for acknoledging this and not rolling over; this is how some teams get better and others are allowed to toil in mediocraty. Was this a medocre season for us? Hell no, but w/o the refs assistance, our 0-3 record against uk would have been entireld different.

rd, I still love ya bro! Oh, and Jammie says hi!
We are K-State and we love to hire SHlTTY coaches.

there was no difference in how the ku and ksu defended except how it was called.  it was terrible.  had we of made those bunnies near the basket (while getting fouled), we might have overcame it.  denis got raped going to the basket (on scores) and nothing.  our bigs got f'ing hammered and nothing.  meanwhile, they're calling denis for "holding" 40ft away from the basket and then have the f'ing audiacity to call Kelly for bumping when Cole lowers his shoulder and throws a forearm into anyone guarding him.

Yeah, we typically got a slight advantage over many other teams this year.  Yeah, KU typically gets a slight advantage pretty much every time out.  But you can be okay with those things and not be okay with KSU having no free throw attempts in a half and a final free throw total of 31 to 14 in favor of KU.  Those are not indications of a slight advantage or of getting a call here and there.  We got hosed.  They truly aren't that much better.

I pretty much agree with the first part.

In the end, if they would just SLAM HOME those bunnies as to leave no doubt if there was a foul, I'd have felt better.

Eventually, should these teams meet again, KSU is going to have to knock them out.

People, we shot 24 of 69 (34.7%). Only needed to hit 5 more shots to win (shoot 42%). We had some very bad very rushed possessions and we were cold to start both halves. Stop bitching because we had plenty of chances to overcome the bad officiating.

yeah, we were getting raped on those 69 shots, and eventually had to just settle for jumpers because of the refs.

JFC, have you been lurking all day ready to assume your self-appointed role of squawk validator in chief at the first sniff of lact of respect to your freeway bandwagon school or are you actually on Big Lou's payroll?
