I remember when ISU had that one really good running back who almost won that one trophy because he had so many garbage time TDs when the game was already out of hand.  For ISU.  That guy was pretty salty.

Greetings world!  This is the first of hopefully many blogs that I hope to write in the future.  I have seen a few of my friends (Jessica Gravert and Nate Halbmaier notably) who have been running their own blogs on this site and I thought I’d give it a try!  I will attempt to let out as much of my thoughts as I can in hopes that at least a couple of them are interesting enough to appeal to the masses that will undoubtedly want to read about me  .

Alright, down to business.  This coming Thursday I have two exams that I am currently not looking forward to in microeconomics and psychology.  My professor in econ hasn’t actually been in class for the last two weeks due to sickness and other pre-scheduled commitments, so we’ve had her husband teach us about taxes and other exciting stuff of that sort.  As it turns out, I think he’s a much better teacher than his wife so I am in no way complaining.  Psychology, on the other hand, is what I believe to be my hardest class this semester.  The first exam I took in there went a little rough, so I’m going to do a little more studying this time! Ah, how different tests are in college than they were in high school….

Cyclone football sure has seen both ends of the spectrum this year.  From starting 3-0 with a victory over the hated Iowa Hawkeyes, to now being 3-4 and having questions about every aspect of our team.  Steele Jantz began the year as our starting quarterback, and led our team to those first three victories; but, in the last victory against UConn, he hurt his foot and it has apparently been bothering him since.  After 3 straight losses and a couple poor drives to start off our last game against Texas A&M, Jantz was pulled in favor of Jared Barnett; a redshirt freshman from Texas.  Barnett played pretty well against the Aggies, but couldn’t quite help the team enough to secure a W.  My hope for the team for the rest of the year is to get 2 more victories.  I don’t see us qualifying for a bowl game.  At least CYCLONE BASKETBALL is quickly approaching! Only 12 more days until our exhibition game in Hilton! I will blog more on this at a future date…

One thing that has astounded me this year, being a guy, is the emergence of so many girls wearing the sacred “yoga pants” around campus… Holy moly… Girls, let me tell you something… If you ever get a boyfriend, please refrain from wearing these pants at all costs, even if they are the most comfortable things you’ve ever slipped over your legs.  Any, and I mean ANY, single guy will be checking you out if you continue to wear them; much to the dismay of your boyfriend.  (I’m sure my mom would like to add in how much girls have “changed” since she was in school at this point in my rant.)  I would also like to add that I have a girlfriend and have never seen her wear yoga pants to this day (hopefully I’m not just ignorant), which is FANTASTIC in my opinion… Love you sweetie!

Anyways, it seems like I’ve been writing awhile now so I think I’ll wrap it up here.  Thanks to anyone who reads and takes interest!  At least if no one reads this, I entertained myself for awhile… Toodle-oo

Iowa is one of those places you have to drive through in order to get to much cooler places (i.e. Chicago, Minneapolis, etc.).  It's similar to Oklahoma in this respect.
