I like that Willie doesn't have furry sleeves and legs. He's a maverick in the mascot world. One of a kind.

Seriously. So many fans of other schools are obsessed with this and I literally have never given it a second thought and I tend to complain about lots of stuff.

I think the "Wildcats" in full mascot pajamas look stupid.

Willie came to my wedding. I used to think of him as some sort of super celebrity, but when my dad was playing those stupid videos with us as kids and growing up and crap I looked over and there was Willie, sitting in a chair, respectfully taking it all in. So I guess what I'm saying is that Willie is the kind of mascot that won't try to upstage you at your wedding. Just a real, polite, humble, terrific Wild Wildcat.

Personally, a 6-foot tall half-man half-cat is more rational than a 6-foot tall walk-on-2-legs cat.
