sounds pretty morbid. Its likely we are in different age brackets though. I see different age brackets perceiving this differently.

I was in 4th or 5th grade when it happened, and I didn't get to watch any of it until like 5 pm that day.  Watching and learning stories about all of the different situations and heroic efforts just interests me.

I was in 8th grade. I remember the internet was still young and only a few classrooms had cable TV so a small portion of students knew what happenend. Rumors circulated the whole day. I too didnt even know until I walked home and turned on the tube and was all :horrorsurprise:

I am like this as well. I like most vids on 9/11 except the conspiracy theory ones. Most of those are rough ridin' lame.

yes, it's very interesting.

one of the things i'm most intrigued by is how much the news has changed since then.  the videos feel almost prehistoric, and no one had any idea what was going on.

i was in college, just woke up and turned on the news and first tower was hit already.  went and woke up my roommates and we were all glued to the tv all day.  very crazy times.

Just imagine had it happened in this day and age.  Everyone has cameraphones and video cameras.  It would be insane.

Was a freshman in college when this went down.
Class started, and the teacher came in looking freaked out...atfter about 10min he finally said screw it and let class out, went back to my dorm to see the towers fall.

I still rember hearing Ft. Riley going full on John Rambo prior to the Iraq/Afghan invasions.

just through the cross walk between Goodnow and Ackert when my roommate told me what was going on as I was coming back from class.  Somethings I watch, some make me sad.

I was just watching a deal on NatGeo about the DC set of attack(s).  Was interesting to see the amount of mis-information going on during the attacks.  DC police were pulling people back from the Pentagon with their PAs saying that another plane was inbound.  Also they interview people who say the saw the plane hit so that kinda kills the conspiracy theorists.  I would imagine the nut job plots are going to be harder to come up with in future events with the amount of media in the the average person's hands.

Can you imagine if facebook was around on 9/11? Would've been extremely annoying for everyone in the entire country/world to post the exact same thing.

Two Things:

1) If you were in 4th/5th grade, I'm assuming you are still at KSU.  Take Apprication of Architecture.  At the end of the semester he spends 2-3 class periods going over the architecture of the buildings impact on the outcome.

2) I was a senior in HS when it it.  My high school had a 8-foot TV hanging on a wall 10 feet off the ground over a large commons area.  Right after the 1st one hit a teacher took his class to the commons, grabbing every other class they passed along the way.  I saw the 2nd plane hit and there were around 100 people watching.  By the time the 1st tower fell there were 300 people watching the news and we all watched it fall live.  The most surreal experience I've ever been a part of.  There was a large, collective gasp then just stunned silence.

The best 9/11 clip was the one spliced into (i think) the birth video representing 1998.
