Yeah, but he wrote this book before he got famous for all that other crap. The book is good more for the subject matter than the author, though Albom's poor qualities don't really shine through in the book.

It's a good story. People would enjoy it. It's stupid to argue that you have to be personally invested in the story to enjoy it.
