What's this feature going to be called, "We Bought a Book"

Just want to make sure I DVR this thing.   :excited:

It wasn't a book.  It was a few pages with the original rules of basketball written on them.

Please let me know when K-State has a 30 for 30 on the original rules of soil judging, and they purchase the rules with two pigs and a horse.  TIA.

so ku spent 3 million dollars on a few pages about basketball?  beems, tell KSU grad Zenger to call me, I think I've found at least a partial source of the problem finding funding for the failed KU football expansion deal.

the original rules of having sex with a goat

the original rules of having an erector set for a stadium

the original rules for running off the best basketball coach you've had in 30 years

the original rules for paving gigantic parking lots around your stadium

the original rules for planting hay

the original rules for planting grapes

the original rules for teaching your 70 yr old coach how to internets

the original rules for wearing jorts

the original rules for booing every call the officials make

the original rules for only having one conference title during the "decade" of dominance

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

k-state should buy a book about the rules for the snooze button because the guy who invented it was at k-state for a small portion of his life

BMW, I'm creating a new documentary series called 33 for 33.  You'll be happy to know that my first story will be about how ESPN 30 for 30 did a story about how a KU fan bought a book.

phog was so excited about this that the thread turned into a discussion about bo jackson for multiple pages.

infact this thread has stayed on topic longer.

seems like maybe espn misjudged the interest people have in how this book was acquired.

No, a rich booster bought them through a private donation.  I believe it's the same guy who funded the Booth Family Hall of Athletics.

Doesn't matter if it's a book or just a few pages of old notes.  It's the original rules of the game of basketball.  That's pretty cool, imo.

you summed the whole thing up in 1 sentence.  how exactly will that make a for gripping television?

i'd rather see a 30 for 30 about the terry allen, mangino, gill, weis rollercoaster ku fans have had to endure.

This is so strange, its about a book, that a private person bought, but its going to be a feature about ku basketball.    :dunno:

I saw K-State on Jimmy Kimmel, Letterman, Conan, and Entertainment Tonight talking about our Emmy for supporting actor in a comedy series that WE won.

An hour about some rando rich dude buying some rules.  Wonder how much of that hour will be devoted to discussing Lambert Will.

I'm sorry, but a guy buying some pages out of a book has to be by far the most boring premise for a 30 for 30 ever.

in the preview they just mentioned the book was for sale.  The 30 for 30 could really be about any number of things

It is a good way for KU to na-na-nanana cbb blue bloods because those guys pretty much own them on the court.  "Kentucky wins another title? Oh, well, did you know that not only did Naismith coach at KU we actually bought the book of rules.  We bought the book of rules!"

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Will this be the full Stand 30 for 30 or one of the 12 minute shorts only available online?

so is this about a book that Naismith stole/plagiarized?
