I thought I read somewhere that the NCAA was now testing scholarship athletes SCA now?

Is the testing voluntary?  Despite how serious it can be, seems kind of  :opcat:

What Watson needs to understand is that past results, even if they happened somewhere else or with a different team, mean a lot.

He should have taken a page out of Omari's playbook. Once Omari heard about Orris, he conveniently went home for the week. Nice move Omari, very hungergameish. Watson got oscar'd and didn't even see it coming.

What's a bigger bad person move: letting a player continue to practice and play despite a life-threatening condition, or hiding behind a non-life-threatening condition as an excuse to cut a player from the team?

Well in one of your scenarios, the player with the condition is given a choice.  Sickle Cell can be managed in most cases.

I really enjoyed his last quote. Just seems like he is trying to mention being cut as much as possible

..and I'm sure Washington state wants him back in the worst way.  After reading that, I think Watson might be a bit Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).  ...like really Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

I re-read it, my apologies. I'm sure this never happened though

And when Frank Martin left he told me, ‘You’re one of the most talented players on the team.’ Now I’m cut. I don’t get it. I guess it hasn’t hit me yet.”
And if he did, that was franks way of saying: "No, you can't transfer with me to South Carolina".

I only fainted once during my time here, and that was with the old coaching staff. It never happened when oscar Weber was around.

That isn't entirely true...

“I was really looking forward to it. I was doing workouts, individuals, passing out in the locker room, lifting weights. I was doing pretty good, too. He told me, ‘You’re doing really good and have more experience than some of the other players.’ And when Frank Martin left he told me, ‘You’re one of the most talented players on the team.’ Now I’m cut. I don’t get it. I guess it hasn’t hit me yet.”

So did oscar tell him in person or just let someone from an admin position let him know?

Do you think that quote from his mom was her half-ass attempt to save face when she was asked why her son just signed a lease for an apartment in Manhattan for the next year?
