Electoral College
« on: April 30, 2012, 09:09:36 PM »

So, when Obama wins the election in November and Romney wins the popular vote will the Libtards stop clamoring for a popular vote?  Will the strict constitutionalist libertarians stick to their guns?  Will Obama continue to brag about how "he won" and the republicans need to "sit down" so he can govern like the totalitarian little bad person he is?

Should be interesting.

I know I will still want the electoral college gone. I don't see why this is a liberal or conservative issue at all, actually. I just would like it if my vote actually mattered.

Ron Paul is going to be the nominee.

What are your plans if by some remote chance he doesn't get the nomination? Will you still vote and for whom?

everybody thinks that ron paul fans are weirdos.  probably the only thing that dems and pubs agree on.

you were around the last election, you were fans of that one weird guy who kinda looked like mr. burns.

before that, you were fans of ross perot.  you like the third party candidate because he's a third party candidate, no matter how insane he is.

etc.  (<-- take notes, fanning)

This is what gets me.   I listen to political talk radio - watch political crap on tv - read blogs/newspaper articles & read user comments and everyone bitches about a couple of common themes.
Government control & Government Spending -  Obamacare & big spending - bail-outs stopping hyper inflation etc.
Civil Liberties - I.E. the patriot act and the Defense bill basically making assassinations of American civilians or indefinite detention for any reason the president sees fit legal.
Foreign Policy - People wanting to end the war.

We have a candidate that firmly agrees with ALL of these concerns.

But he's crazy.  And people that like some of his ideas and trust him more than Big Fat Liar Romney & Wanna be communist Obama are also crazy.

Fwiw, I think YOU are crazy if you're willing to place more hope in a couple of liars than a guy that wants the same things you want but may be a bit more idealistic than most.

You are batshit crazy because you still believe Ron Paul is going to win the republican nomination and actually should win it. He is more than free to run as a third party candidate, but the republicans have let it be known that they want nothing to do with him.

Ron Paul does have a shot to win the nomination, I know the odds are slim but the opportunity is still there. And your talking about "establishment" republicans that do not ron paul, Obviously the rough ridin' tards that have been in the party for 10,15,20yrs etc do not want him because they are used to doing what they have been doing. And ROn Paul represents real change.  Ron Paul is trying to save the republican party from itself. And that 3rd party bullshit is done dude. Thats over. Gary Johnson will be the only 3rd Party candidate, and quite frankly he should just quit so his people can support Ron Paul. And I thought Republicans wanted somebody who people can rally behind and someone who could beat Obama?( Romney cant, Paul Can) And I thought republicans were a little "ehhh" on Romney so they have been looking for the "conservative alternative to romney"....Obviously the last, and only conservative throughout the race is standing. This is why i dont get repulicans lol. You want to win, so you pick romney who cant win. And you also want a conservative? Obviously Romney is a rough ridin' conservative. I mean its just ridiculous.

not voting, and letting other people know that their vote doesnt matter, because its true.

everybody thinks that ron paul fans are weirdos.  probably the only thing that dems and pubs agree on.

Not true. Most Ron Paul fans are disgruntled Republicans or disgruntled Democrats, and never gave a crap or were too young to care about Ross Perot. One way or another they have unplugged themselves from the Matrix, if you will.

I used to like GWB until I realized him and especially Cheney used the tragedy of 9/11 for personal profit, taking civil liberties, fear mongering (remember the color code terror alert? LOL), and anti Muslim propaganda as a way of crusading for Christianity.

Obama has only continued this immoral crap fest, and I have no reason to believe Romney would do any different. So have fun voting for either of those dolts. Your vote doesnt count.

This blows my mind as well. The last 4 years are probably the most bitter and butt hurt the R's have been in history. And for good reason. The bail outs and stimulus and obamacare are bull crap imo. But after endless bitching and moaning, and being racists and the tea party. Fox News and talk radio in full war mode vs Obama. After all that, the Republicans are looking to nominate the guy who layed the ground work for Obamacare. The Republicans....what a bunch of rough ridin' idiots.

Ron Paul can't win the nomination because a lot of democrats and independents can't vote in republican primaries.  Not to mention all the stories about republicans being barred from participating in state conventions because they're known for being Ron Paul supporters.

He would win if every person that wanted their opinion to matter were allowed to voice it.

Disagree?  Defend this statment:  Ron Paul has outdrawn every other candidate at nearly every stop he's made along his campaign.  UC Berkeley he had over 8500 people show to his rally.  Mitt Romney just a couple weeks earlier spoke at the same venue to a "sold out" crowd according to the media of around 2000 people.  The Dali rough ridin' Llama could only draw 2500 people and Ron Paul is bringing in 4 times that amount.  In Philadelphia 2000 people stood outside in the middle of a thunderstorm to hear Ron Paul speak.  You don't hear about this on the news and all of these delegate counting maps are nothing but speculation.  Several states cannot be counted and are bloating his count by the media.  Can he win?  Probably not this time.  Everything is still too corrupt but he's raising awareness - and his message will continue to spread.  This IS a revolution whether you chose to believe it or not.  It's coming and it's changing people's minds every day.

I'm voting for Ron Paul no matter who is on the ticket - just like last time when I wrote his name in.  You may call it a wasted vote; I think a vote for anyone else is a wasted vote.  I urge every Paul supporter to do the same and write his name in this next election.

People are sheep.  They do what they're told. Forgive me for also trying to take advantage of it.  Now run along and campaign for the media favorite like a good little robot.
