Water or alcohol are the only potables to pass these lips. I got tired of buying milk only to use it once and then pour that ish down the sink later. That said, if the milk were someone else's responsibility, I would probably imbibe more often. However, I'd rather get my fat quota from delicious solid foods.

SNL had a funny skit about this where Tina Fey was from Philly.

"warsh" is a geography-independent speech impediment

According to John Kelly of the Washington Post (Catching the Sounds of the City), he claims:

"warsh" is the predominant characteristic of what linguists call America's midland accent. The accent can be found in the swath of the country that extends west from Washington, taking in Maryland; southern Pennsylvania; West Virginia; parts of Virginia; southern Ohio, Indiana and Illinois; most of Missouri; and Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, much of Kansas and west Texas.

The person who I know that says it lives in Kansas and spent some of her childhood in Missouri.

like for crayon?  I remember as a youngster pronouncing it crown, because my parents called it that, i think figuring it would be easier for me to say.  But, after being around other kids i was horrified that learn something so base and simple had been a lie my whole life.  Its a good thing my parents offered to feed and shelter me for the next 15 years or i would have split right then and there.  Don't put your kid through that same experience.
