Glen Mason asked for a football complex like Vanier in 1995 (it was actually after the Bowl Season of 1992, but most phognet talking points tend to forget that) . . . had he stayed around THIRTEEN more years, he would have gotten it . . . Mangino re-asked for one in 2002.

I'm sure oscar Weber will put the new basketball facility to good use.  All of those 2 and 3-star recruits won't know what to do with themselves once they get a glimpse of that place.

Anyone have the picture of Weird Robert next to the sheep pens? Post Rating (1 vote)
You know, the one of K-State's stadium, where Weird Robert and the sheep are in the foreground.  TIA.

RENOVATIONS!

Yeah, that isn't the actual luxury section.  It was a mock version to allow people to test it out before they bought season tickets.

Like I've said before, once KU does another renovation to Memorial Stadium and adds the gridiron club, it will be one of the 25 best college stadiums in the country.  The on campus setting and the overall location can't be matched by any other stadium in the Big 12.  K-State has a generic hole in the ground stadium surrounded by a parking lot, and I know deep down inside that it kills you guys.

DKR being right in front of the best state capitol in the country absolutely clowns KUs location.

i do really, really like how the location is walking distance from mass. other than that it's horrible. student ghettos to the west and south. hill to the north and dorms to the east.

Ya Beems- you know how we all hate parking lots, dumbass.  And that generic hole in the ground is 10x nicer than memorial, and will be even after your gridiron club gets done in 20 years.

Lets see here...
KU Athletic Complex- Built 2008
KSU Athletic Complex- Rennovated 2008
KU football stadium- Rennovated over a decade ago with none in the near future
KSU football stadium- Rennovated less than a decade ago with MAJOR ones in progress.
Also KU's Endowment doesnt make them rich, because your university loses money, while KSU's makes money, with charging less tuition.
Sorry, but overall KSU is the best university to go to in the state, and enrollment figures are proving taht trend.

He tried to change the subject 3 different ways at once, that has to be a new record.  Dax, is there reliable football ticket rev numbers available for the universities?

Oh sure.   But its all calculated differently at different schools . . . phognet finally fell to that talking point when it was shown that K-State blew away ku in net revenue last year, suddenly they were all on the "its calculated differently at various schools" bandwagon.

Beems is just pissed that the largest self funded facilities project in Kansas Board of Regent Schools history breaks ground this Saturday . . . at K-State.

I went to Lawrence about 3 weeks ago and was somewhat surprised to find the largest congregation of Joco high school students in the world.

Seriously though, if you are at a bar in Lawrence and of age you feel out of place. Weird as eff.

Amazing fan support for K-State:

Maybe someday those great fans will be able to average over 50,000 in one season.

IT'S NOT "UGLY," IT'S "TRADITIONAL," bad person.

I'm glad that Dlew got a photo of the awesome KU football atmosphere on a rivalry day.  I can feel the excitement rising up from the massed fans.

I just wish there was another sweet pic of the ghetto to the east of the stadium.  Nothing says atmosphere better than an empty stadium with an empty lot, smack dab in a ghetto.  The KU way all the way.

That really really really empty part in the first picture is the student section.  Being on campus really helps that student support.
