I don't like Mizzou at all and I rough ridin' hate the fact that they left the conference but I have no problem with us playing them in basketball in KC. eff, play em in football, too for all I care. I would rather have WVU as our OOC rival but I guess Mizzou wil do, especially now that we all actually hate them as compared to the general malaise I felt previously.
mizzou has passed us in both sports. that's the reality. so why not take advantage of that and get some pub for playing them in an annual series? stop getting your panties in a wad and taking their conference move so personally.

The guy understood his fanbase and understood what it meant to be loyal to the Big 12. I don't know why that's sad.Because with Frank, KU and K-State were on the same page when it came to realignment and the future of the Big 12. Now you guys are stuck with a guy who doesn't know anything about K-State's fanbase or K-State's history, and just wants to give the middle finger to KU and Bill Self because he's a butthurt loser who failed at Illinois. Mizzou almost single-handedly destroyed the Big 12 and the whole KC area college sports scene as we know it, and now you clowns are trying to reward them for it. Just goes to show that all that TSC stuff was a big lie.

MU fans are much less disgusting than your average Kansas fan. I don't mind it really.

I'd like to do that again. I would also like to invite my MU friends to a game to watch us beat the hell out of the Tigers. And then party it up at P&L. We should do both. Actually, can we move all high profile non-con home games to Sprint Center?almost everyone but MU would require that we play a home and home or the equivelant (ie. KC and wherever garbage place in AL that we played). MU is the only big name that we could play every single year in KC. Well, I still hold out the tiniest amount of hope that we can get an NU basketball or football game in KC, probably not happening though. play a home and home then. kc would be our home game, a different regional venue could be our opponents. the thread you were hanging onto at the beginning of this thread snapped a long time ago.You would rather play in KC one out of every two seasons instead of every season as some sort of salve for your painful red butt over MU leaving? Because that's what it sounds like.

Quote from: steve dave on April 18, 2012, 02:37:56 PMdax, I know you're mad at them. But KSU didn't end up in a bad place. We can still be friends with them in ways that benefit KSU, the fanbase (FUN!) and the KC community. Until there's a new TV contract with a GoR that goes out 13-15 years, I ain't gonna buy into "KSU didn't end up in a bad place" yet. They are the reason we had to sweat it out hard, and aren't completely home free yet.I see no reason to reward them as they desperately try to throw bones to their generally unhappy KC metro constituency who as I said now find themselves at the far fringes of mu's new conference.

Because that's what it sounds like. Counting next year vs Florida, we'll have played 6 noncon games at Sprint in 4 years. None of them were Mizzou. All but one were against quality teams. There us no reason that can't continue.
we could have nice things w/out that meaning that a local competitor gets to have nice things in the process. playing mu @ sprint center = playing wsu @ intrust.
