My dad spent 2k on rattlesnake antivenom for his dog after it was bit.

He lived though, so it was worth it.    :cheers:

I wasn't  :flush: your post. I was  :flush: FP TC's because there is nothing wrong with spending $2k on your animal. Unless it was a cat or something weird.

tree removal and trimming seems like something i could do myself really easily.

It was a huge tree, directly between my house and my neighbor, amongst fences, etc.  It was a massive undertaking...plus, they trimmed every other tree in the yard.  I wouldn't have dare done any of that myself.  But, I don't do anything in my yard myself.
