Sleep Talkers
« on: April 05, 2012, 12:43:09 AM »
Stayed with the folks tonight (close to work). Dad for once was not sleep talking about me giving up a no-hitter in the 8th inning- "0-2 pitch, son? Throw it outside!" Instead, he has Wednesdays off (had been paking) and keeps saying: " You three putted on a par 5? You 3 putted on a par 5?"- Father Fanning Experience Today.

What are your stories?

"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

Have both slept walked (eyes open) and slept talked, but both when I was younger and not for a while.

Both are hilarious.

I know how your wife feels.  My wife is the sleep talker in our household.  She will usually sit up quickly and ask me questions like "what day is it?"  "Did you take a shower?"  or my favorite "Did I run _______ test on my patient?"  I will answer to the best of my knowledge, she realizes what's going on, gets embarrassed and says nevermind.

If she realizes that she's sleep talking....I don't think she's asleep....

:dunno: If I don't answer she won't wake up and just keep jibber jabbing about nonsense.

Turns out I'm a sleep hitter. The first few nights a new girl is in my bed, I either push her away from me while sleeping or roll over and open handed hit their back.  :dunno:

I'm used to sleeping alone  :shakesfist:

in the living room, sleeping roommate suddenly opens eyes and glares at me.

roommate - "did you take my paint brush?"

me - "no i did not"

roommate - *glares at me for a solid 20 seconds before eyes close and returns to normal sleep*
