To combat 'tucks, think like one
« on: April 02, 2012, 03:33:18 PM »
I would bet a functional testicle that the 45+ crowd from central and western Kansas will use or has used this tool:

http://www.k-state.edu/president/

Flying banners over the stadium, burning "Fire Currie" in the lawn, etc are all great but are too easily dismissed as the antics of a vocal minority.

A steady, planned stream of emails voicing all the great reasons to be dissatisfied with this hire should fill the animal's inbox each week.  There's some talented writers here.  Somebody draft up some boilerplate for others to use and post here.

If you happen to be a donor (small or large), let him know.  Use your real name, location, graduation dates, etc.  Become the face of the movement and remove the anonymity that others hide behind.  Urge other friends and fans to do the same.  Write in weekly.  Each time you boycott a game or broadcast, let him know.  It costs nothing but a few minutes of your time (which many seem to have in excess).

VIVA LA REVOLUCION!

I agree with the idea behind this.

Anyone have or know children that would be a great academic asset to KSU? Have them write some e-mails to KS about how they have changed their mind about staying in state and going to KSU because of the ineptitude that KS is allowing JC to get away with.

Yeah guys, as distasteful as it is for both sides to think about, we need to unite with the tucks on this. This is too big to let our differences tear apart a common goal.

Yeah, goEMAW needs to treat this like a realy 9/11 moment.  We need to unite everyone who feels and emotional response, then use fear to motivate them further.

Dear President Schultz,

I am writing to you as a concerned student. Kansas State has recently undergone a massive overhaul in the men's basketball department. I understand that coaches leave and head toward "greener pastures" but what I still don't understand is how this occurred at such a rapid pace. John Currie has told us that he and Frank got along well, yet media has been reporting for a year that there was a rift between the two. Our sports programs at Kansas State are stronger than ever; a surplus in cash, multiple NCAA MBB trips, new basketball training facility being opened, expansion on the football stadium and great seasons for football.  A coach with as much success as he has would not make such a move unless there was a strong personal reason for him to. Information has recently been leaked by alumni and donors that John Currie lied to Underwood and went back on his word.

This is not the type of morals that our family here at Kansas State University has been built on. Family does not lie to one another. Family certainly does not let his own ego get in the way of what is good for the whole. I personally feel like John Currie has not represented Kansas State University in a good light. We are better than this and we need an athletic director who has the same morals as our school. I hope that you will take this into consideration and  help put our school back on the correct path.

We need to have an inter-board conference call and webinar.  Maybe even some PowerPoint slides.  Who wants to be the goEMAW rep on this council?

_FAN or Panj would be the best person to do something like this, no question.
