I love him too much for him to be a part of the trainwreck that is about to occur.  Go to Louisville, Angel, and play in Final Fours for a Hall of Fame coach.

Louisville wanted him, right?  I mean, how does he not go there considering our cluster eff and their Final Four?

No Angel = no "sweet 16 run" for BAM.  Depending on which side of the fence you are on, this could be a good thing for us in the long run.

What is Louisville's scholarship situation? Pitino may not be willing to run off one of his players to make room for Angel, especially considering that Angel wouldn't be eligible to play next year.

It may not be Louisville, but I have a very hard time believing Angel returns, and he played more than well enough to go to a tourny team.

Angel's smartest move is to find a juco that will give him a scholarship to redshirt and then he will be a 3 to play 3 guy.  I am sure Shaky and Art can set him up at Dade if he wants to to to S. Carolina

he can get to louisville and redshirt a year and have three to play three anyway.

Peyton Siva is a senior, doubt he would beat him out for the starting spot.

But he has his redshirt like SD said and he would fall right into the starting job after Siva leaves next year...eff  :bang:

true, but he doesn't waste a scholarship for that year and more importantly, isn't constrained by getting a release from John Currie.

Man, does Currie hate EMAW enough to give Angel an unconditional release?

He should give players releases when they request them. That's what good people do. Currie is not a good person, though, so who knows what he will do.

Guys, I'm not even rough ridin' kidding.  If we lose angel, I'm getting season tickets and wearing the visiting team's colors and cheering my ass off for them every game.  If you do not plan on doing this, then turn in your EMAW card.

Yeah, let's support the school financially but then root against them. That'll show Currie. :flush:

You won't get Currie fired if you keep giving the school money.

Yeah, I don't get the people wanting our players to transfer. I don't think Weber is capable of succeeding, but that doesn't mean I want him to fail. I don't buy a lottery ticket and then hope I don't win.

You didn't buy this lottery ticket.  you were on your way into the gas station to do so, but then some bum mugged you and bought the ticket for himself.

And gave you a ticket someone else had ripped in half and he'd wiped his ass with.

I still would love for Weber to prove me wrong. First of all, success would get him out of Manhattan much quicker than failure. Secondly, I would get to enjoy the success. Currie needs to go regardless of what happens with Weber.
