Momma! And he not homesick as often reported lol., actually after having had him on west coast for two years and now in driving distance he seems home.. James had rough year and made little contribution to team so I understand speculation. He had worked hard during summer and had passed conditioning requirements then had reoccurring heart problem and was found unconscious on bathroom floor after missing practice.. A series of test required no physical activity.. Once cleared he had problems passing conditioimg.. Then after missing class frank suspended him ( I greatly appreciated that discipline).. Then once grades in order he had elbow injury so at that point medical redshirt became plan..James loves KState and is committed to working hard to contribute next year.

At least when the rape kit is done we'll be rid of Currie for 20 years or so.   :ksu:

Unlike John Currie, those are treatable.   :excited:

Weber must be disappointed this sounds like just the kind of excuse he needs to excuse mediocrity.

Just confirmed what had been largely speculated that without "Good Cop" Delonte, Frank was out of control and had lost the team.  He said players seemed happy with Weber and were excited to play for him.

Sounds like what a guy who was a month from being run off might say.  Add to that Delonte was gone before he ever stepped foot on campus.  Frank Martin loses a team and we go to the 2nd (3rd whatever) round of the NCAA tournament.  oscar Weber loses a team and Ill wins 2 of their last 14 games and doesn't make the NIT.

He was speaking on more than just his opinions, he was talking about how the team felt about the hire.

When Dalonte was still here, I thought Underwood was more the sidekick Bad Cop to Frank's leading man.  Maybe that changed with when Dalonte left but I would guess Evans was the guy to try to fill that role.  I don't think playing the Good Cop fits Underwood's style.
