John Currie's career
« on: March 31, 2012, 12:34:39 PM »
When I first heard the Weber hire I instantly thought "Currie just committed career suicide, what a fool"

But, if you look at it, maybe not.  Weber was the most experienced guy available.  So, Currie can tell his next job "I got the biggest name out there, a guy who went to a national title game...it was tough after Frank was running us down all over the country" and it's true.  Also, Weber is likely to do decent next year and Currie will be flooding the country with his resumes as soon as tomorrow.  It is further down the road when the Weber hire will ruin us but Currie doesn't give a eff about KSU.

So, Currie can play up his money raised and that he took the no brainer hire while preventing a player revolt.  He might not get stung by this so it is up to us to burn him down wherever he looks.  I expect some AD jobs will be popping open and we will need to make sure the fans of those programs know Currie is poison.

When you succeed at Illinois you go to Kansas and when you fail at Illinois, you go to Kansas State

And what's worse?  The Animal is ok with it.  Or he's just too rough ridin' stupid to see what's happening.

Losing all respect for The Animal and his stupid 2025 bullshit.  I'm just as mad at him.

I don't get the Schulz love on this board.  He's as responsible for this as Currie.

Unless this hire leads to a bigger player revolt/mass transfer then the one he allegedly staved off.

Our entire team is transferring. We won't win a game.

I know, but the "Schulz sucks" opinion is contrary to what most people on here say.

He tried to kill EMAW, let Currie run off Frank, and allowed Currie to make an incredibly embarrassing hire.  He's terrible.

I can't imagine any of your players wanting to play for oscar Weber.  If your players watch tape of Illinois the last couple years they are going to leave.  He will kill their season.  It probably doesn't hurt that Jacob Pullen knows first hand how bad of a coach oscar Weber is.  He was a laughingstock and Pullen probably still knows a lot of your players and will tell them as much (as he already tweeted to the world).

Deep down inside, do we really hope to set our alma mater on fire?   I want Currie's nizzutz sporked out on a table and fried with pig fat, but what can we really do about it now?
