Anybody remember HotRod intervening at Missouri when Frank called a time out just to yell at Will.

I do.

HotRod appeared to giving Frank the "WTF . . . Really?" treatment.

Nobody is going to leave before they at least see who their coach will be if they stay.

You sure about that?

Jamar tried to calm Frank numerous times, and of course good cop Unds had to sooth events on the bench

810 this morning played a Bill Self clip, where he mentioned that Frank told him this could be a possibility weeks ago.  Really?  WTF?  Maybe there is more the mutiny store that I wanted to believe...but that certainly casts a strange light on the situation.  Coupled with the players not seeming too upset that he left, Frank not coming back to tell the team in person, etc maybe this was a foregone conclusion (?)

The theory in my head goes like this:

Early in the season, Frank's demeanor on the bench seemed more calm than in past years. Maybe this was in part due to some ultimatum some of the players had given him. But as the season went on he couldn't help himself.

He knew that at least a third of the roster was going to transfer (not just the scrubs), that would kill his career. No talented kids would come to play for someone who was already seen as a hardass and that had just ran half the squad. He knew his time was up in Manhattan and needed to get out before roster imploded. This is why he took a step down to SC. The Jamar thing just gave him the excuse to put the blame on him leaving on Currie.

Maybe that's why he was constantly checking temperatures?   :dunno:

Any possibility that Frank setup the whole "wire transfer" situation?  Used Jamar as an unknowing pawn and alerted someone to follow him to pick up the receipt....

I'm going to buy into every rumor that tarnishes Frank's name. Then, when we hire a bad coach, I'm going to buy into every rumor that tarnishes Currie's name.

I will do this even if the two rumors fundamentally contradict one another.
